Double Heart

Opuntia basilaris
An Early Valentine
If you squint your eyes, look closely at the center of the photo and let your imagination go, you may see a double heart. Or maybe not.

  5. I think it would be fun for the people I "blog" with to tell others what they find are the most important objects . I believe we could all learn some pretty neat things.

I am going to tag a couple people and hope they return to my blog to share with me and others what they use the most when it comes to your houseplant hobby.

  10. What an unusual colour that opuntia has and of course it´s shape is unique. But still I don´t think this is a plant for me, these nasty spines ..aren´t they called glochids,,, that are so hard to remove if they are in your skin.
    Have a nice GTS

  17. No need to squint. Perfect posting for this pre-Valentine Sunday. Thanks for horticultural connection, though somehow I don't think this will supplant the run on long-stem red roses.
