And Make Our Garden Grow...

We'll do the best we know
We'll build our house and chop our wood
And make our garden grow

  1. At first glance I thought that was Ocatillo, but what is that long green stick-like plant in middle of photo???

  2. Hi Julie,
The flowers are Desert Marigold (Baileya multiradiata), then Lady Slipper (Pedilanthus macrocarpus), then Baja Fairy Duster (Calliandra californica) in the front. The photo is posterized using PS Elements.

  4. Thank you for your blog...just found it, recently, and I am finding it very helpful. I had my backyard landscaped with cacti and desert plants...completed just this week! (Well, sort of, I am still working on it...but the landscaper is outta here!) :)

    Love, Mary L.
