The vinca is a trooper when it comes to withstanding heat and drought and it is such a delicate looking flower. The cactus bloom is sooo pretty too. A nice surprise. Can't really blame the bloomers for giving it up for a while. I would too in that heat! We have a heat advisory for tomorrow and Tuesday. Highs in the mid 90's but heat indexes to 105. I know it sounds like we are wimps, but that humidity can make you ill in a hurry. Hope your heat dosen't last too much longer.beckiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06400859161321357279noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-269929186047281311.post-36349896982067877672008-08-03T13:46:00.000-07:002008-08-03T13:46:00.000-07:00I love the blooming cactus pictures. :) They're so...I love the blooming cactus pictures. :) They're something that I don't see a lot of here in AL, especially because I'm lazy with indoor plants. I do have a succulent bird feeder I've been working on this year, we'll see if I can overwinter it safely. :)Lythrumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00200781056851058805noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-269929186047281311.post-87787158940886493082008-08-03T12:14:00.000-07:002008-08-03T12:14:00.000-07:00Beautiful sunflower!Beautiful sunflower!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-269929186047281311.post-81158063455606291912008-08-03T10:11:00.000-07:002008-08-03T10:11:00.000-07:00Yep, the summer heat has hit here too... we're hov...Yep, the summer heat has hit here too... we're hovering around 104 or 105... not as high as yours, but hot enough for all practical purposes...
