Blooming Bottlebrush

Callistemon viminalis 'Little John'

All the Dwarf Bottlebrush shrubs in my garden have bloomed. We didn't get any frost this past winter, so there's an abundance of the little brush-like flowers. Read more about Dwarf Bottle Brush in this previous post.

Aiyana, I remember as a child taking the little "bristles" out and sucking on the ends for a tiny taste of sweet nectar. Wonder if this is the plant. I love their little fireworks looks.

I like the colour of these flowers. I read your earlier post about them and wish that I could grow them. It was interesting to read about the dusty look of them ...

I always thought these plants sounded so cool and something you can use to clean bottles and pots with. They look cooler still.

I don't know that I've ever seen the dwarf variety before. I love the color you've captured. Have you had many hummingbirds? They always loved our bottlebrush.
