What wonderful photos. Cacti are such a novelty for me, I love them. They are such strange, lovely and prockly things. Kind of like people- thanks for sharing - we have been under cloud for about two weeks and I feel as if I will never see the sun again so your site is so refreshing. sharon
How cute is that!! Mushrooms always manage to pop up in the most unusual places. Ironic that it should pick a spot where a cactus grows. Aren't they complete opposites in what they need...cactus...dry, sunny ... mushrooms...damp, dark! Very odd!

A political statement, huh? I like the juxtaposition of the two plants very much. It's a great capture.
GREAT...
the pictures says it all... nothing else to really add...

Cool. Talk about opposites!!!
Wonderful Picture! I've had the oddest little mushrooms popping up all over my yard since the rains started- but nothing so huge as yours!
Ha, your comment was hilarious.
Wish I had mushrooms like this in the garden!
That's great. I can't say I ever saw a mushroom when I was in AZ and certainly never thought I'd see one next to a cacti.
An excellent picture with a lot of symbolic meaning too. I also had to laugh when seeing it!
