Best of a Bad Lot

Gymnocalycium schickendantzii
Giant Chin

This Giant Chin bloomed today--must like the hot and humid weather of monsoon.  This summer has been pretty nonproductive in my garden, a few blooms here and there, but none nice enough to post. I must need to fertilize more. These flowers are the nicest of the season so far.

Hi Aiyana. I'm glad you are still posting on your blog. I have never seen Gymno schickendantzii with yellow flowers before. They are gorgeous. Thanks for showing us!

They are really lovely Aiyana. I'm constantly amazed that something that looks like a torture device can have such pretty flowers. :)

Very beautiful. I love how generous these plants are when it comes to flowers :) You must give it good care when they look like this : )
