Florescence

The first flower to open on this Eriosyce kunzei ‘multicolor’, is just the florescent pink color I expected! To read more about this water sensitive cactus, see my previous post about it.

For each petal on the shamrock

This brings a wish your way--

Good health, good luck, and happiness

For today and every day.

Alright Aiyana,
I simply have to ask. HOW MANY cacti do you live with? They are all so wonderful.

Well, first of all, let me pull myself up out of the mud..., since on your last post I called this cactus "homely", but it surely moved from an ugly duckling to a swan! Amazing how these cactus can have such beautiful blooms! Congratulations on this one!

Hi Aiyana,

It's exactly what you predicted - the colour is wonderful.

Happy St. Patrick's Day to you!

Thanks for the comments! In answer to Barbara's question, I have about 175 different varieties of cacti and about 75 succulents. My place is sort of a mini botanical garden. I really need to stop this obsession--it's getting a bit hard to manage.
