It seems many of my cacti are really enjoying the extra rain we are receiving this Monsoon time. There is always the danger of root rot from too much moisture, but it will be months before I'll know it. In the meantime, there's been a great round of flowers. The flowers are very short-lived this time of year and I have to be extra diligent to catch them at their peak. I've missed a few--being the late riser I am.

Aiyana, Your bright colors are lovely! I especially like the first two. I'm glad your getting some rain so things are blooming again but hope you don't get too much. Your photos are just fantastic! Jean
I didn't know a cactus could be so pretty!
Oh, what beautiful bright colors these flowers have! That Ball Cactus was incredible. Did you notice the little flower on the flower? Amazing! Also the Strawberry Barrel's flower is so bright and beautiful. Loved them all!
Beautiful cactus blooms!
Your cactus blooms are so colorful and beautiful! Who would think cactus flowers are so pretty and so dangerous to touch!
Love, Ann
how beautiful they are!
I love all your bright Cactus blooms.
Aiyana, what spectacular colors! How many different cacti do you have? Do you keep count?
You have SOOOO many blooming right now! I know you are enjoying the show! We are too! Thanks!!!
I have several more photos to post of cactus flowers, but thought I should spread them out! I have about 150-60 cacti in pots (I think--maybe more) and another 50 in the landscape. I have cut back on buying as there is nowhere else to put them!

Beautiful Blooms! Not sure if this is your thing or not, but I wanted tag some fellow garden bloggers, so check out my latest post at http://annesgarden.wordpress.com/
Good morning. I tagged you for the six-things-about-myself meme.
It's certainly a beautiful garden, and the photos are A1.
MAGNIFICENT!!
I think cactus flowers are among the prettiest there are. The colors are just amazing!
150 in pots, wow. I have about 10 and the number is shrinking. I probably over water them, although last year they were out in all the rain we had in Texas and they seemed to do very well. I would like to make up my own potting soil because they charge such a lot for a small bag in the store.
I never tire of looking at the flowers.
Oh, my goodness...200 cacti! I am blown away by that! I should have guessed you would have at least that many, but you don't even imagine it! LOL.
Very nice. The pistals on some of the flowers looked like flowers within flowers. Thank you.~~Dee
